Be Bold, Be Bright

Be Bold, Be Bright
As we know, spring is a season of soft, pastel colors. When the flowers begin to bloom in pastels, so do we. Now spring is coming to a close and summer’s in the air. As the sun starts shining brighter, so do our wardrobes. This summer is all about bright and bold colors. Cobalt blues, sunny yellows, and neons are all appearing in the runways. It’s time to whip out those fun summer patterns! My advice to you is to start the transition from spring to summer slowly. Begin with moving away from the mint green nail polish and into a neon coral. Then slowly make your way into bright colored dresses, skirts, and tops.

Spring into Spring Colors

Roses are red. Violets are blue. Which spring color trend works best for you? Spring is just around the corner, so why not get a head start on incorporating this season’s color trends into your wardrobe? This season’s colors are

·         Emerald: It’s not just for St. Patrick’s Day! Incorporating this jewel tone into your wardrobe will make people green with envy.

·         Tomato: It’s the new red. Pairing this color with a neutral outfit creates the perfect pop of color.

·         Navy: This dark color can be worn with a spring twist in feminine pieces such as skater skirts or a statement necklace.

·         Plum: A richer purple is both fun and sophisticated at the same time.

·         Onyx: Who said black was just for winter? This spring try wearing this dark shade in a chiffon blouse or peplum shirt.

·         Blush: Blush is the new neutral. Wear it with anything you’d wear a neutral color with and you’ll have a touch of spring in your outfit.

So be fashion forward. Spring into spring color trends now!

The Brilliant Button Down

I have to apologize yet again for my lack of posting. I'm trying to write at least two posts a month if not more. Happy Holidays! I hope you all are enjoying your time with family and friends. I know I am enjoying my vacation by resting, spending time with family, and soaking up some of the latest and greatest fashion trends. By reading these, I have come to notice that button-down shirts never went out of style. From the day it was invented, the button down was never not seen somewhere or on someone. I have incorporated the button down in my wardrobe lately. Below are a few easy ways to dress the button down up or down.

Master Your Style

So I have to confess, I had a bit of an obsession with Teen Nick's Hollywood Heights over the summer. I loved the music, the story line, and the characters. One character's style in particular really caught my eye. This character is Adriana Masters played by Hunter King. Adriana was the mean girl on the show, sort of like a Regina George. Her style was very girly,(I'm sure she wore pink on Wednesdays), but she always had one piece to edge up the look.
Her Everyday Style

Adriana always wore a dress or a skirt and edged it up with a leather jacket in a pastel color.

She also wore white jeans and floral, flowy shirts with pumps or a sandal.
